Regular Council in Committee

THAT:Pursuant to Section 16.10 of Council Rules of Procedure By-law No. 145-06, as amended, consent is hereby granted to consider a Community and Development Services matter due to extra-ordinary circumstances. (

THAT:The recommendations contained in Report Nos. IS-06-2014, CS-10/LC- 07-2014, CS-11-2014 and CDS-37-2014 be and they are hereby approved.

THAT:Council hereby approves the March 26, 2014 Land Committee meeting minutes attached as Appendix "1" to Report No. CAO-06/LC-09-2014, and further THAT:Council hereby approves the April 10, 2014 Land Committee meeting minutes attached as Appendix "2" to Report No. CAO-06/LC-09-2014, and further THAT:Council hereby approves the recommended tasks as outlined in Appendix "3" to Report No. CAO-06/LC-09-2014. (

THAT:The recommendation be amended to include the following: THAT:Council hereby directs staff to change the sidewalk to the west side of Buffalo Road from Municipal Drive to Evelyn Avenue subject to notification to the affected property owners on both sides of the street in this area and that a further report be submitted to Council accordingly, and further THAT:The sidewalk from Garrison Road to Municipal Drive be removed from the process altogether. (

THAT:Council hereby receives this report for information purposes regarding the recent Public Information Centre held regarding the proposed sidewalk construction on Buffalo Road, and further THAT:Council hereby directs staff to change the sidewalk to the west side of Buffalo Road from Municipal Drive to Evelyn Avenue subject to notification to the affected property owners on both sides of the street in this area and that a further report be submitted to Council accordingly, and further THAT:The sidewalk from Garrison Road to Municipal Drive be removed from the process altogether. (

THAT:Council-in-Committee does now go into closed session at 7:04 p.m. to discuss the following: (a) Property and Legal Matter (Pursuant to Section 239(2)(c) of Municipal Act, 2001, as amended – A proposed or pending acquisition or disposition of land by the municipality or local board and Section 239(2)(f) – Advice that is subject to solicitor- client privilege, including communications necessary for that purpose) Re: Proposed Agreement of Purchase and Sale for purchase of vacant lands for industrial development purposes. (

THAT:Staff be directed to act in accordance with the instructions of Council in this matter. (

THAT:Council does now rise and reconvevne into open session at 7:31 p.m. with the following report: THAT:Staff be directed to act in accordance with Council’s direction in this matter. (
