Regular Council

That: Council approves the Consent Agenda Items as recommended. (

Whereas the Town of Fort Erie supports the benefit that the Region of Niagara SNIP program has on downtown areas; and Whereas the Town of Fort Erie is disappointed that the Region of Niagara has temporarily suspended funding due to an increase in volume of applications to the Community Improvement Program (CIP) payments for projects approved after August 4, 2017 as this program has been very successful in promoting downtown revitalization and has been matched by the Town of Fort Erie. Now therefore be it resolved, That: The Municipal Council of The Corporation of the Town of Fort Erie requests Niagara Regional Council to include funding in its 2018 budget for this program to continue throughout the end of 2018, and further That: The Clerk be directed to provide this resolution to area municipalities for support and the Region of Niagara. (

That: Council request that design work for Houck Crescent to be turned into a full and complete street be given consideration in the 2018 budget. (

That: The by-law package containing: 113-2017: To Deem a Certain Registered Plan of Subdivision Not to be a Registered Plan of Subdivision Beverly Ann and Casey Hill (89 Ferguson Avenue) 114-2017: To Authorize the Execution of a Subdivision Agreement with 1372708 Ontario Inc. (Vaughan Gibbons) (Crystal Ridge Landing) 115-2017: To Amend Traffic By-law No. 2000-89 All-way Stop at Intersection of Ridge Road South and Farr Avenue and Reduction of Speed Limits on Sections of Holloway Bay Road, Nigh Road and Townline Road 116-2017: To Appoint Carol Schofield as Interim Clerk for The Corporation of the Town of Fort Erie and to Repeal By-law No. 92-2017 is given first and second reading. (

That: By-laws: 113-2017 114-2017 115-2017 116-2017 are given third and final reading to be signed by the Mayor and Clerk under the corporate seal. (

That: By-law No. 117-2017: To Confirm the Actions of Council at its Meeting Held on October 10, 2017 is given first and second reading. (

That: By-law No. 117-2017 is given third and final reading to be signed by the Mayor and Clerk under the corporate seal. (

That: Council adjourns at 7:04 p.m. to reconvene into a Regular Meeting of Council on October 23, 2017. (
