Regular Council in Committee

THAT: Report No. CDS-54-09 regarding Official Plan and Zoning By-law Amendment located at the southwest corner of the Bowen Road and QEW Interchange be received for information purposes, and further THAT: A report on the Official Plan and Zoning By-law Amendment be presented to a future Council-in-Committee Meeting with the recommendations subsequent to the Public Meeting. (

THAT: Council deems 283 Ridge Road as surplus, and further THAT: The Museum and Cultural Heritage Committee and the Community Gaming and Development Corporation be consulted with respect to the proceeds from the disposition of 283 Ridge Road as part of the 2010 Budget, and further THAT: Staff be authorized to pursue a Private/Public Partnership opportunity to develop 283 Ridge Road in a manner with will enhance the Ridgeway Village Square and Downtown Ridgeway, including the development of design criteria, and further THAT: Council hereby authorizes staff to seek proposals for the design of the water feature and pavilion/stage components of the Village Square. (

THAT: The Municipal Council of the Town of Fort Erie hereby authorizes the sale of the Marcan Drive Unopened Road Allowance, North of Industrial Drive and East of Thompson Road adjoining the eastern boundary of the Peninsula Plastics Ltd. Property and 620 Industrial Drive to Peninsula Plastics Ltd. in the amount of $10,000.00, being fair market value for the lands, and further THAT: The requirements of the Sale of Land Policy for the Town of Fort Erie be waived in this instance, and further THAT: The Town Solicitor be authorized to prepare the necessary by-laws and to execute on behalf of the Town of Fort Erie all necessary documents to stop up and close the road allowance and to complete this transaction. (
