THAT: A copy of Report No. CDS-03-06 be sent to the Ministry of Infrastructure and Renewal as the Town comments on the Province’s Draft Provincial Growth Plan, and further COUNCIL-IN-COMMITTEE MINUTES – MONDAY, JANUARY 9, 2006 PAGE TEN THAT: A copy of this report be sent to the Fort Erie Economic Development and Tourism Corporation, Regional Planning Department and Niagara Economic Development and Tourism Corporation for information purposes, as well as MPP’s Tim Hudak and Kim Craitor. (

THAT: Recommendation No. 2 be and it is hereby amended by inserting the words “and subsequently a public meeting” after the words “house,” and further THAT: Recommendation No. 3 be and it is hereby amended by inserting the words “as considered appropriate” at the end thereof. (

THAT: Council hereby receives Report No. CDS-04-06 regarding the Building Permit Fee Study and the Draft Fee Schedule contained within, and further THAT: Council hereby authorizes staff to consult with stakeholders to hold a public open house and subsequently a public meeting regarding revisions to the proposed Building Permit Fees as per the study, and further THAT: Subsequent to the public consultation a by-law be submitted to Council to adjust the Building Permit Fees for 2006 as outlined in Appendix “2” of Report No. CDS-04-06 as considered appropriate. (

THAT: Council hereby accepts the new Engineer’s Report for the Thompson Road Municipal Drain, and further THAT: Council hereby directs staff to follow the “Recommended Schedule – Figure 1” as indicated in this report, to meet the requirements under the Drainage Act, and further THAT: Council hereby allows staff to prepare the provisional by-law for the Thompson Road Municipal Drain, following the public meeting of January 23, 2006. (

THAT: Council hereby accepts the tender from SARP Toronto Inc., of Pickering, Ontario, for the Television Sanitary Sewer Inspection, Manhole Sealing and Mainline Spot Repair, Contract No. IS-05SASE, in the amount of $106,145.28, including g.s.t, and further COUNCIL-IN-COMMITTEE MINUTES – MONDAY, JANUARY 9, 2006 PAGE TWELVE THAT: Council hereby directs staff to prepare for the Regular Meeting of Council on January 16, 2006, a by-law awarding the Television Sanitary Sewer inspection, Manhole Sealing and Mainline Spot Repair, Contract No. IS-05SASE in the amount of $106,145.28, including g.s.t. to SARP Toronto Inc. of Pickering, Ontario. (

THAT: Council hereby authorizes the appointment of Ellis Engineering Inc., of St. Catharines, Ontario to provide engineering services for the Black Creek (Shagbark Lane) Bridge Replacement Project in the amount of $39,951.23, including g.s.t., and further THAT: Council hereby authorizes staff to prepare the necessary by-law authorizing the Mayor and Clerk to execute the Engineering Agreement on behalf of the Town of Fort Erie. (

THAT: Council hereby authorizes the appointment of Avalon Consulting Professionals, Fort Erie, Ontario to provide engineering services for the Black Creek (Shagbark Lane) Bridge Replacement Project in the amount of $39,830.00, including g.s.t., and further THAT: Council hereby authorizes staff to prepare the necessary by-law authorizing the Mayor and Clerk to execute the Engineering Agreement on behalf of the Town of Fort Erie. (

THAT: Council hereby receives Report No. CAO-01-06 regarding the Town of Fort Erie Occupational Health and Safety Program Audit – December 2005, and further THAT: Council adopt a new Health and Safety Program Policy Statement, as recommended in the audit, and to repeal By-law No. 36-95. (

THAT: Council hereby receives report No. CS-01-06 regarding the Analysis of 2005 Assessment for 2006 Taxation Year for information purposes only. (
