5. Correspondence 1. Guest Speakers: Allison and Karen (attending in place of Kathryn) provided an introduction and overview of TIFF in Fort Erie. TIFF in Fort Erie is proudly presented by the Fort Erie Film Circuit, a dedicated committee of local volunteers working in partnership with the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). Screenings are held at the Meridian Centre for the Arts Theatre, located within Greater Fort Erie Secondary School (GFESS) at 1640 Garrison Road, Fort Erie. Tickets are $10 (cash only) and available for purchase at the door. Complimentary cookies and tea are provided (donations are appreciated). Allison and Karen also requested that the Committee consider setting up a promotional table at GFESS during screenings to share information about the Senior Advisory Committee, its upcoming events, and other community engagement initiatives taking place in the Town of Fort Erie. 2. Email from NOAA dated January 18, 2026, regarding a News Release on Age-Friendly Communities, which was forwarded to the Fort Erie Observer . 3. Email from Peter Grantham dated January 14, 2026, regarding his resignation, along with a subsequent email dated January 27, 2026, attaching the Town’s formal letter acknowledging his resignation. 6. Chair's Report Discussion took place regarding the recruitment of additional members, as the Committee is currently below its desired capacity, with 15 members at present. 7.
