Regular Council in Committee

That: Council approves the Niagara Waterfront Investment Program application as prepared by the Fort Erie Economic Development and Tourism Corporation with the assistance of DJG Chartered Professional Accountants, for $850,000 in partnership funding from the Region of Niagara to implement capital improvements recommended in the Bay Beach Master Plan, and further That: Council authorizes the Director of Planning and Development Services to submit the Niagara Waterfront Investment Program application prior to the September 15, 2016 deadline, on behalf of the Town of Fort Erie. (

That: Council approves the amendments to the Town's Zoning By-law No. 129-90 as detailed in Appendix "4" of Report No. PDS-72-2016 for the lands known as 223-227 Gilmore Road, and further That: Council authorizes staff to prepare the necessary by-law, and further That: Council hereby determines that in accordance with Section 34(17) of the Planning Act, further notice is not required as a result of the change to the number of units from 7 to 6 and to change the minimum unit size to 39 square metres since the holding of the Public Meeting on August 8, 2016. (

That: Council authorizes staff to initiate a housekeeping amendment to the Town’s Comprehensive Zoning By-law No.129-90 in accordance with the Planning Act of Ontario, as outlined in Report No. PDS-73-2016. (

That: Council directs staff to hold an Open House meeting to consult with all interested parties on the draft parking strategy outlined in Report No. PDS-74-2016, and further That: Council directs staff to report back on the results of the Town wide consultation and the next steps. (

That: Council approves the issuance of funding under the Brownfields Rehabilitation Grant Program as set out in Report No. PDS-75-2016, and further That: Council directs staff to prepare a by-law authorizing entry into an agreement with Marz Homes (Crystal Beach) Inc. for the Brownfields Rehabilitation Grant Program, and further That: Council directs staff to forward a copy of Report No. PDS- 75-2016 to the Region of Niagara for information purposes, and further Page 4 of 7 Council-in-Committee - 06 Sep 2016 Meeting Minutes That: Council directs staff to review the Brownfields Community Improvement Plan to determine the necessity of refinement to Brownfield Community Improvement programs moving forward. (

That: Council considers the Bridgeburg BIA Public Realm Investment Program funding request of $49,000 during 2017 Budget deliberations, and further That: Council considers the Ridgeway BIA Public Realm Investment Program funding request of $25,000 during 2017 Budget deliberations, and further That: Council directs staff to complete the Public Realm Improvement Funding application to submit to the Region of Niagara to facilitate the Bridgeburg and Ridgeway public realm improvement requests, and further That: Council directs that a copy of Report No. PDS-76-2016 be forwarded to the Region of Niagara, Bridgeburg BIA, Ridgeway BIA and Fort Erie Economic Development and Tourism Corporation. (

That: The vote on Recommendation No. 8 at the July 11, 2016 Council-in-Committee meeting regarding approval of amendments to the Town's Zoning By-law No. 129-90 as detailed in Report No. PDS-62-2016 for Loomis Crescent be reconsidered. (

That: Council approves the August 25, 2016 Land Committee meeting minutes attached as Appendix "1", save and except item 3.2, request to purchase Municipal Lands adjacent to 620 Industrial Drive, and further Page 6 of 7 Council-in-Committee - 06 Sep 2016 Meeting Minutes That: Council approves the recommended tasks as outlined in Appendix "2", save and except Recommendation No. 5, regarding a request to purchase Municipal Lands adjacent to 620 Industrial Drive. (

That: Council approves item 3.2 of the August 25, 2016 Land Committee meeting minutes attached as Appendix "1", and further That: Council approves Recommendation No. 5 of the recommended tasks as outlined in Appendix "2". (
