That: Council receives Report No. CBC-06-2017 regarding the analysis of the 2016 assessment for the 2017 taxation year for information purposes. (

That: Each numbered item under the Recommendations contained in Report No. CBC-07-2017 be considered separately. (

PART 1.1 That: Council approves the 2017 Supplementary Base Budget funding for Capital Reserves Strategic Investment increase of $500,000. (

PART 1.2 That: Council approves the 2017 Supplementary Base Budget funding for Tree Planting increase of $40,000. (

PART 1.3 That: Council approves the 2017 Supplementary Base Budget funding for Storm Water Management Facilities maintenance increase of $19,000. (

PART 1.4 That: Council approves the 2017 Supplementary Base Budget funding for Transit Route Improvements Plan increase of $77,522. (

PART 1.5 That: Council approves the 2017 Supplementary Base Budget funding for Employment Services Wages & Benefits increase of $50,000. (

PART 1.6 That: Council approves the 2017 Supplementary Base Budget funding for Digital Services Wages & Benefits increase of $58,190. (

PART 2.1 That: Council approves the 2017 Supplementary One-Time funding for Emerald Ash Borer Tree Removal increase of $400,000 funded by the General Levy Rate Stabilization Reserve. (

PART 2.2 That: Council approves the 2017 Supplementary One-Time funding for Roads Refurbishing Reserves allocation of OMPF funding of $480,400, and that capital project RSRF17 be increased accordingly in the General Capital Budget. (

That: The motion for the Canada Day fireworks contribution of $10,000 be amended to move from the 2017 Supplementary One-Time funding to Base funding. (

PART 2.4 That: Council approves the 2017 Supplementary One-Time funding for Dominion Repertory Theatre grant of $7,500. (

That: The motion for the 2017 Supplementary One-Time funding for Economic Development and Tourism Corporation (EDTC) grant for reserve replenishment be amended to change $100,000 to $50,000. (

That: The motion for funding for Economic Development and Tourism Corporation (EDTC) grant for reserve replenishment of $50,000 be amended by adding “to be taken from the General Levy Rate Stabilization Reserve”. (

That: The motion for the 2017 Supplementary One-Time funding for EDTC grant for “Why Fort Erie” magazine be amended to change “$50,000” to “$25,000 in 2017 and $25,000 in 2018”. (

PART 2.7 That: Council approves the 2017 Supplementary One-Time funding for Crystal Ridge Community Centre grant of $25,000. (

PART 2.8 That: Council approves the 2017 Supplementary One-Time funding for the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 230 grant of $3,000. (

PART 3.1 That: Council approves the 2017 Supplementary Base Budget new funding for Winter Sidewalk Plowing/Sanding of $40,000. (

PART 3.2 That: Council approves the 2017 Supplementary Base Budget new funding for Parks and Arena Operations Supervisor Wages & Benefits of $23,460. (

PART 4.1 That: Council approves the 2017 Supplementary One-Time new funding for Coal Docks Assessments of $100,000 funded by the General Levy Rate Stabilization Reserve. (

PART 4.2 That: Council approves the 2017 Supplementary One-Time new funding for Continuing Education Development of $24,700 funded by the General Levy Rate Stabilization Reserve. (

PART 4.3 That: Council approves the 2017 Supplementary One-Time new funding for Snowbirds Event contribution of $7,500. (

PART 5.1 That: Council approves the 2017 Fort Erie Lions Senior Citizens Complex grant in the amount of $23,250. (

PART 5.2 That: Council approves the 2017 Business Improvement Area watering grant in the amount of $28,000. (

PART 5.3 That: Council approves the 2017 Beachcombers Seniors Complex grant in the amount of $10,500. (

PART 5.4 That: Council approves the 2017 Fort Erie Horticultural Society grant in the amount of $1,000. (

PART 5.5 That: Council approves the 2017 Community Events grants in the amount of $24,350. (

That: The motion to approve the 2017 EDTC grant in the amount of $657,158 be amended by adding “for operating purposes”. (

That: The question be called on the 2017 EDTC grant. (

PART 5.7 That: Council approves the 2017 Fort Erie Public Library grant in the amount of $1,470,842. (

PART 6.1 That: Council approves the 2017 Bridgeburg Station Business Improvement Area levy of $41,000. (

PART 6.2 That: Council approves the 2017 Ridgeway Business Improvement Area levy of $35,000. (

PART 6.3 That: Council approves the 2017 Crystal Beach Business Improvement Area levy of $9,700. (

PART 7 That: Council approves the Town’s General Levy of $25,402,369 comprised of base budget of $24,035,797 and supplementary budget of $1,366,572 and directs staff to submit the related by-law for approval on February 27, 2017. (

PART 8 That: Council excludes capital asset amortization of $5,975,600 from the 2017 General Levy Operating Budget. (
